Sven Edward Olbash, performing artist

bio

Sven Edward Olbash has credits as a conductor, opera singer, musical theater performer, stage director, organist, theatrical clown, acrobat, and trapeze performer. He completed a Music Performance Residency with San Francisco Opera and has been a guest clinician with SF Choral Society, Piedmont Choirs, SF Lyric Opera, Lincoln Center Education, Gregorian Institute of Canada, and the National Association of Teachers of Singing. He is artistic director of Lacuna Arts Chorale and Euouae, with whom he directed and produced the album you who sow in tears will reap in joy. He has performed at La Sainte Trinité, Longwood Opera, Lowell House Opera, New England Light Opera, Center for New Music, Old First Concerts, Other Minds Festival, Rick Berlin’s Cha Cha Club, Infusion Lounge, Barnaby’s World of Wonderment, and Phènix Opera and has premiered works by over forty living composers with new music ensemble Volti. He teaches singing in his private studio.
